Andreas Schmid Group takes over Czech logistics company Karnool

Gersthofen, 14 August 2024. The logistics company Andreas Schmid Group, headquartered in Gersthofen near Augsburg, is continuing its growth journey in Eastern Europe with the acquisition of the Czech company Karnool s.r.o.  

With the acquisition of the logistics company Karnool s.r.o., the Andreas Schmid Group is expanding its international presence by three additional locations in the Czech Republic. Both companies are united by their approach of providing tailor-made, comprehensive logistics services that focus on the individual requirements of the customer.

Karnool, based in Prague, Brno and Ústí nad Labem, has been established as an expert in customised logistics solutions on the Czech market for twelve years. With two logistics locations and its own fleet of vehicles, the company offers a wide range of services, including warehousing, transport management and supply chain solutions. The acquisition gives the Andreas Schmid Group access to an extensive network of logistics infrastructure and customer relationships in the Czech Republic and neighbouring countries. The founder and owner Petr Vymer will continue to run the business as Managing Director together with his existing team.

Continuation of the growth trajectory

The integration of Karnool s.r.o. into the existing structure of the Andreas Schmid Group will take place gradually, focussing on the seamless continuation of all existing services and the continuous support of customers.

With this acquisition, the Andreas Schmid Group is continuing its mission of growth in Eastern Europe. In order to meet the demand for warehouse space as well as staff requirements and to strengthen the international logistics network with its own resources, the Andreas Schmid Group has been expanding its capacities abroad since 2020. The Group now has a total of ten locations in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia.
